Yesterday, up to 20,000 pages of documents relating to the Jeffrey Epstein file were published by the Democrats of the House Oversight Committee. The leak includes emails sent by Jeffrey Epstein from his personal email account. Two particular emails stand out.
One email involves Jeffrey Epstein dated on June 24th 2018 to Thorbjørn Jagland describing a past meeting between Donald Trump and Vitaly Churkin, which Epstein described as a great meeting. Another email shows that Jeffrey Epstein was in contact with Thorbjørn Jagland as back as 2016.
Vitaly Churkin was a Russian diplomat and served as Russia’s Permanent Representative (Ambassador) to the United Nations from 1 May 2006 until his death in 2017. Thorbjørn Jagland was the former Prime Minister of Norway.
Jeffrey Epstein also discussed Donald Trump’s wrongdoing and said that it is unclear if the Russians helped him win the election but likely.
Another email dated on April 2nd 2011 shows Jeffrey Epstein saying that Donald Trump spent hours with a “victim” at his house. President Trump’s spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said in a press conference that the redacted name of the “victim” is Virginia Giuffre, and Leavitt argued that Virginia Giuffre said in her book that Donald Trump was always professional to her and never did anything untoward.
Donald Trump’s close relationship with Jeffrey Epstein was previously discussed in an interview with Jeffrey Epstein by Michael Wolff.
Other emails involve or refer other personalities, such as this exchange with Naom Chomsky with whom Jeffrey Epstein had financial dealings.
Another exchange features Steve Bannon.
Other emails refer to the gatherings and parties organised by Jeffrey Epstein with names of the guests. Gordon Brown was also a guest to one of Jeffrey Epstein’s parties.
The emails are still being analysed and investigated by many journalists due to the large volume of the content and press stories about the leak are still being released.
