In her very typical narcissistic and arrogant manner, Energy Minister Miriam Dalli lashed out at criticism over her public spending on billboards and blamed the EU over this expenditure. She also rebutted angrily at her political opponent, Rebekah Borg by telling her that the governments needs to spend even more on propaganda because she (Rebeakah Borg), doesn’t know what is happening.
She wasn’t being interviewed – she gave her arrogant comments in the Labour Party’s own unofficial propaganda show by Ricky Caruana.
Miriam Dalli is reacting in an infantile way at criticism because she doesn’t know any better. As a Labour Party propagandist and newscaster, she was handed a strategic portfolio to cover up past corruption and her execution has left consecutive disasters with the latest being a €60 million trading loss in carbon credits. Her infantile behaviour also comes at a time when Malta is being outed as one of the only countries in the EU where carbon emissions are actually rising – Miriam Dalli plans to address this problem by covering up all of Malta’s green fields with solar panels.
Miriam Dalli is the only government Minister and top government official who refuses to answer our questions and provide information about her Ministry’s work.
Now, she is basically blaming the EU for propaganda spending spree and obviously she is lying. The European Union doesn’t oblige you to spend money on billboards and neither does it even oblige you to spend on commercial adverts. The Paola project for which Miriam Dalli is dedicating a billboard, is partly funded by the EU’s Horizon programme. Although the EU Horizon Programme does actually oblige fund recipients to communicate their projects to the public – it does not oblige recipients to advertise the projects commercially.
By her own admission, Miriam Dalli is literally abusing of EU funds to fund her own propaganda campaigns.
