Sudanese Armed Forces retake villages in South Kordofan, Sudan: civilians killed in SAF airstrike

It has been confirmed that the Sudanese Armed Forces have struck a military base run by the SPLM-N in South Kordofan as part of strikes that enabled it to re-capture several villages. However, separate reports claim that the SAF also struck up to 45 civilian villagers as part of their attacks and these casualties are being confirmed by Sudanese civilians from Kordofan.

The SAF is reporting to have secured the villages of Kardoud Nama, Tabsa, Al-Mureib, Tairi (Um Baraka) and Al-Damra while also securing the town of Kertala.

The faction of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), that is led by Abdelaziz al-Hilu in South Kordofan, has allied itself with the genocidal-Rapid Support Forces. Heavy clashes are ongoing in South and North Kordofan States between the RSF and the SAF.

The SAF is currently conducting a national mobilisation plan to defeat the RSF who have recently capture the city of Al-Fashir and committed ethnic cleansing in the city killing thousands of civilians.
