80-year-old man seriously injured after being hit by car in Raħal Ġdid

An 80-year-old man from Raħal Ġdid was seriously injured on Monday afternoon after being hit by a car in Triq Ħaż-Żabbar, Raħal Ġdid.

The incident happened at around 12:00 p.m. Preliminary police investigations indicate that the victim was hit by a Toyota Ractis driven by a 28-year-old man from Żejtun.

The elderly man was assisted by a medical team and taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was certified to have suffered serious injuries.

Police investigations into the case are ongoing.
