Exclusive: Ministry officials actively silencing educators over school issues

The Minister of Education’s policy over the ongoing debate about children’s behaviour issues in schools, is to silence educators and prevent information from being provided to the press.

The Maltese Herald has been reliably informed by various sources that top officials of the Minister for education, Clifton Grima, are putting pressure heads of schools and educators to refrain from giving any comments to the press about ongoing issues and cases. Ministry officials have tried to put a lid on information about two cases, once case that took place inย  Qrendi school and the other case of the stabbing at Pembroke school.

In both cases, heads of schools and educators were actively sought and engaged by top officials from the Ministry of Education and warned them not to communicate with the press. The Ministry of Education has an active policy of censorship against educators.
