Not in my backyard

Labour MPs are rapidly applying a ‘not in my backyard’ approach, further exposing the amoral nature of their thinking.

Labour MPs are quickly realising that rampant dis-planning laws are now affecting the same village cores they grew up in or where they still live. Obviously, just like anyone else, Labour MPs are opposing unbridled and ugly overdevelopment in their village cores.

It didn’t take very long for Labour MPs to feel the negative consequences of their own inaction and complacency with the Prime Minister’s imposed corrupt planning reforms. Usually, Labour MPs reserve their criticism for meetings of the parliamentary group while allowing the Prime Minister to steamroll them in Parliament. It is very unusual of Labour MPs to collectively display such strong dissatisfaction with a local issue.

Il-Bobby ghadu xxukkjat bit-torrijiet f’Ghawdex? Ghandna ligijiet ta’ l-ippjanar li fihom loopholes daqs kemm fihom potholes it-toroq f’Ghawdex. Imbaghad meta jghid xi haga l-Kap ta’ l-Oppozizzjoni jaqbzu fuqu u jippruvaw idawruha kif toghgob lilhom, bhal li kieku l-Kap ta’ l-Oppozizzjoni jaghmel l-ligijiet. Sadanittant, il-Gvern ihalli kollox f’idejn il-Planning Authority li qisha Santa Klaws, dak li titlob tiehu! Imbaghad meta darba f’mitt qamar titiehed decizzjoni sura, arahom jippostjaw biex juru kemm hu ghal qalbhom l-interess nazzjonali. Halluna!
