Five-year-old boy seriously injured after being hit by car in Qormi

A five-year-old boy was seriously injured on Monday morning after being involved in a traffic accident in Ħal Qormi.

The incident occurred at around 7:30 a.m. in Triq l-Imdina. Preliminary police investigations indicate that the child was struck by a Toyota iQ driven by a 30-year-old man from Wied il-Għajn.

The boy was given medical assistance at the scene and was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.

Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
