Millions of Venezuelan immigrants were out in the streets in different towns and cities across the world celebrating the ousting of the unelected Venezuelan dictator, Nicolás Maduro. Celebrations in Caracas and other Venezuelan cities were quickly deterred as the army and pro-regime security forces took to the streets to control and patrol neighbourhoods after a national emergency was declared. Venezuelans lined up at grocery stores to stock up on supplies.
Venezuela suffers from chronic shortages of many supplies including food and medicine.
Up to 8 million Venezuelans live abroad in what has been one of the largest migration crises in history.
