Some Ukrainians in the capital city of Kyiv have found various creative ways to keep warm during the night among the power blackout across the city following nightly Russian bombardments on power stations and infrastructure. Kyiv is currently under sub-zero temperatures of as low as −15°C. Other cities including Poltava, Kharkiv and Sumy are also under a blackout and with freezing temperatures.
Russia escalated its attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure during diplomatic negotiations mediated by President Trump. Russia has also rejected Ukraine’s and Europe’s 20-Point Peace Plan.
The Ukrainian government is to set-up a Rammstein Meeting with European allies on Energy and Electricity infrastructure to address the crisis.
