The Marsaskala Local Council has issued a statement earlier this morning announcing that Qaliet Street has re-opened from the central coastal area with a single-lane. An accident also occurred involving concrete bollards. Most of Marsascala’s coast road was closed down for clearing and repairs yesterday due to the damage caused by Storm Harry.
Other roads in the town are re-opening but the Żonqor area coast-road is still mostly closed and works are still ongoing.
The weather is expected to turn stormier again tomorrow according to the MET Office but no warnings have been issued by the authorities so far.
Yesterday when interviewed the Prime Minister said that the government was assessing the damages and aid will also be considered.
