Nothing new about Greenland by Prime Minister Robert Abela

Prime Minister Robert Abela had nothing new to say about Greenland after the Opposition Leader urged the government to take a position in favour of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Europe. Prime Minister Abela said that he will be sharing his position behind closed doors at the European Council tomorrow, where he will take a very strong stance in favour of the national interest. He added that the position that he will take over Greenland will be strongly in favour of the national interest of the Maltese and Gozitans.

He then added that tensions should deescalate and Europe should not be retaliating with tariffs against the tariffs threats posed by President Donald Trump. Once again he reiterated Malta’s good relationship with the US. When asked about international law and whether this should preoccupy Malta as a small state, the Prime Minister replied by saying that we should also be worried about the Trans-Atlantic relationship.

The Prime Minister also said that the government is assessing the damage caused by Storm Harry.
