Gozo Business Chamber calls for permanent link between Malta and Gozo

The Gozo Business Chamber has issued a press release urging the government to start discussing the permanent link between Malta and Gozo (bridge). The Chamber has said that it has been the main promoter of this project to ensure inclusion of the Gozitan economy with the country’s agenda.

Bad weather has severely affected the Gozo Channel ferry service between Malta and Gozo prompting a renewed discussion about a permanent link from Malta to Gozo. Meanwhile, the government is dismissing such a discussionย  is instead focusing on augmenting the ferry service.

Speaking on a populist TV programme on the public broadcaster hosted bya LAbour Party propagandist, Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri said that the government is focusing on improving the infrastructure at Imฤกarr Harbour and is also exploring the possibility of opening a new harbour.
