French Police investigation on X.com backed by Europol

On Tuesday February 3rd, French police raided the offices of X.com in Paris over two official complaints. X.com is being investigated by the French Police over the creation of pedopornographic content and sexualised deep-fakes by its AI bot called Grok. The French Prosecutor also issued a list of charges that can be found here.

Elon Musk and previous X CEO Linda Yaccarino have been called to Paris for questioning.

X.com is currently under investigation by the European Commission over sexualised AI-content of private individuals and pedophile imagery.

Europol has announced that is backing the French Police investigation on X.com and is also providing forensic and technical specialists for the investigation.

X.com may be in breach of the Digital Services Act and also local French laws.
