Ye4sterday, the Ukrainian community in Malta held a silent vigil in Valletta to mark the fourth year anniversary of Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine.
On the same day, a series of events were held to mark the anniversary including a United Nations General Assembly resolution and a visit to Kyiv by EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The EU Parliament also formally approved the EU’s €90 billion loan to Ukraine but it was vetoed by Hungary’s President Viktor Orban.
The Maltese government has also announced new funding for three mobile-aid hubs for Ukraine.
