Ukraine recaptures more territory: Russia bombs Ukrainian cities

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have recaptured more territory in the Zaporizhzhia region and in surrounding towns of Verkhnia Tersa. The UAF have been making consistent territorial gains during the past four months and are poised to recapture more territory as they continue to pressure Russian lines with counter-attacks.

Russia retaliated to their losses by launching drones towards the city of Zaporizhzhia. The Russian drone attack against civilians follows another night of drone attacks against the city of Dnipro and other cities with more than 100 drones launched.

Talks between Ukraine and Russia as mediated by the US are stalled. Russia has had a reprieve with higher oil prices but these are tamping down already. Last week Vladimir Putin threatened Europe by cutting its last remaining gas and oil supplies except for Hungary and Slovakia but these are already being phased out with Europe planning to fully phase out these purchases by the coming years with Russian gas purchases to be fully phased out by 2028.
