The Islamic regime of Iran has released footage to the public of the new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, for the first time. The footage shows the new leader walking into a meeting room with military officials, with a projection of Israel’s Dimona nuclear site in the background.
Israel and the United States have struck Iran’s nuclear sites, along with other civilian infrastructure, in a series of aerial bombardments.
The footage was released following a public threat by President Donald Trump, which included expletive-laden remarks urging the Iranian regime to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face strikes on Iran’s power plants and bridges. His latest threat contradicts his previous statement when he said that it doesn’t matter if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed because the US doesn’t get oil and gas from the Persian Gas. He had also added that whoever wants oil from the Persian Gulf should go and get it.
President Trump has already bombed a bridge in a bid to pressure the Islamic regime to open the Strait of Hormuz before issuing this new threat. The Islamic regime has denied that negotiations being held with the US and has vowed to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed.
More cargo ships have begun passing through the Strait of Hornuz but it remains closed to most Western vessels especially oil tankers destined to the Gulf states.
Iran has been striking the Gulf states and Israel with drones and ballistic missiles as of early this morning.
