Trump blows up Iran’s biggest bridge: Iranian government says will not surrender

US President Donald Trump has boasted of blowing up Iran’s biggest bridge after having given a speech and said that Iran will be thrown back to the Stone Age. Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi responded to the attack saying that Iran will not be compelled to surrender with attacks on civilian infrastructure.

The bridge that was struck is the B1 Highway in Karaj, west of Tehran.

US President Donald Trump had previously threatened Iran with bombing its power plants if it does not surrender. Both Israel and the US have struck Iran’s nuclear facilities. It has also been reported that Kamal Kharazi, Iran’s lead negotiator with the US has been wounded by an Israeli strike on his home.

Meanwhile, Britain is leading a push to raise more sanctions against Iran if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed.
