Earlier today, airstrikes have struck Iran’s civilian power facilities striking the Natanz nuclear facility and also a desalination plant in Qeshm Island. US President Donald Trump threatened to bomb Iran’s power plants if the Iranian regime refuses to accept his conditions for a deal. The Natanz nuclear site is also the site where most of Iran’s uranium has been enriched.
No one took responsibility for the attacks so far.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guards have vowed to continue the war and to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed. Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated his willingness to strike a deal with the US and end the war, but also said that the IRGC are stopping him from striking a deal. US President Donald Trump also said that the war in Iran may end while the Strait of Hormuz remains closed. The IRGC are also threatening to strike US companies in the region in retaliation for assassinations.
Iran launched its daily barrage of drones against Gulf states and Saudi Arabia. Ukrainian military personnel are in the Gulf states and Saudi Arabia assisting with air-defence. Meanwhile, Ukrainian interceptors have already started working in the region with footage below of an Ukrainian interceptor hitting a Shahed drone in Iraq.
In Iraq, the Shi’ite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr is calling for public protests in support of Iran and against the US and Israel.
