Iranian regime keeps executing political prisoners despite peace talks with President Trump

The Islamic regime of Iran is set to continue executing political prisoners, including protesters from the January and February demonstrations, while conducting peace negotiations with US President Donald Trump. When questioned today during a press briefing about the fate of the Iranian people and whether the US government is considering them in the context of regime change, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that the Iranian people are being considered in discussions with the Islamic regime, but provided no further details.

Some of the current protestors on death row in Iran include Abolfazl Salehi Siavashani (featured image), Shahab Zohdi, and Yaser Rajaifar. They were convicted of terrorism charges for their participation in protests in January. Up to 40 political prisoners and protestors have been executed in Iran just this month alone. 

Abolfazl Salehi Siavashani is fifty years old from the city of Karaj and is the sole provider of his family. His brother was killed during the Iran-Iraq war. Abolfazl Salehi Siavashani was arrested on January 8th and charged with “enmity against God” and accused of setting alight a Basij station. He is currently being held in, Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj province.

The Iranian regime killed tens of thousands of protestors during the protests that started in late last year and escalated in January. Thousands of others were arrested many of whom face execution on terrorism charges or ational security laws.

Head of the Iranian Judicial authorities Mohseni Ejei, has called for pre executions of protestors and political prisoners.

    Mark maybe you might wish to check whether the US will be considering the life of those Palestinians who will be convicted under the new infamous law just enacted by knesset, in the first meeting of the Peace Board in Gaza.

    In that case, Joseph explain to me why the Israeli anti terrorist legislation applies only to Palestinians and exempts israeli terrorists? Applied only in occupied territories but not in mainland Israel? Pedro Sanchez described it as typical legislation of an apartheid policy.
