Traffic through the Strait of Hormuz increases, oil slumps and markets rally: Trump and Iran negotiate

There is heightened activity through the Strait of Hormuz today after US President Donald Trump yesterday announced that ceasefire negotiations were well underway with Iran. Oil slumped from its highs following the announcement and is now trading below $90 for WTI. Stock market futures rallied along with the Euro which is currently at $1.17.

The Islamic regime of Iran is demanding sanctions relief and a permanent end to hostilities in exchange for the re-opening of the Strait of Hormuz.ย  President Trump is insisting with the regime that they should have no nuclear weapons and avoid developing ballistic missile technology and capabilities.

Negotiations are ongoing through Pakistan.
