Malta’s Green Party, ADPD, is set to propose Airbnb regularisation as part of proposals aimed at addressing Malta’s housing crisis, The Maltese Herald can confirm. The Green Party is set to release its electoral manifesto after it is approved by its Extraordinary General Conference set to take place next Saturday.
Political parties were caught off guard by Labour’s surprise election announcement and, so far, no political party, including Labour itself, has published its electoral manifesto.
The Labour Party is proposing subsidies for first-time buyers to address the housing crisis. The Nationalist Party has yet to present its proposals on the issue. Opposition Leader Alex Borg said at a party rally that the crisis is so acute that even he is experiencing it, as he struggles to purchase a property with his partner.
