Russia kills more than 50 Ukrainian civilians in week of intensive bombings

Russia has killed more than 50 Ukrainian civilians this week in a series of relentless drone and missile strikes on various cities including Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Odessa, Kryvyi Rih and Kharkiv. On Thursday May 14th, Russia also struck a UN-marked vehicle with a drone. Footage of the attack provided by the UN is posted below.

Russia had requested a ceasefire to hold its Victory Day Parade in Moscow, but soon after its parade was over, it renewed its attacks on Ukrainian civilians. Russian assaults across the frontline took place during the ceasefire and Russia also stalled an-agreed POW-exchange.

Also on May 14th, Russia struck an apartment building in Kyiv with a KH101 cruise-missile killing at least 24 people in process, including four children (feature image and image below). Up to 127 civilians were injured on the day of intense attacks.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the use of this missile by Russia indicates that Russia was still violating sanction sand importing Western technology products. He stressed on the importance on sanctions enforcement and for further action to restrict Russia’s war machine and consequently reduce the killing of Ukrainian civilians.
