Finance Minister Clyde Caruana gave his most fierce and and strongest ever public speech in his political career stirring the crowds with an ideological discourse lauding the principles of social justice adhered to by the Labour Party. He lauded the Labour Party’s measures which are helping the masses from electricity and fuel subsidies, pension increases and tax reductions and said that despite all the Labour Party’s faults, the Labour Party remains the only party of change.
Speaking at the Labour Party rally in Imqabba, Clyde Caruana said, “I am the son of the working-class and I can never forget my roots”, as he strongly defended the Labour Party’s track record. He insisted that the Labour Party remains the voice of the weak, the voice of the working-class and the voice of the youth and stressed that the Labour Party should continue on this path. He urged voters not to go back in the past and move ahead with progress and vote for the Labour Party.
Minister Clyde Caruana has been the most featured cabinet minister during this general election campaign as he rolled-0ut a massive and populist subsidy and tax incentive programme. The Nationalist Party is criticising the Finance Minister for ignoring long-term timelines and capital projects.
