A 15-year-old boy from Mosta has been arrested in connection with a bomb threat targeting the Lily of the Valley Secondary School in Mosta.
Police said the incident occurred on Monday at around 9am, when they received a phone call in which a male voice threatened that a bomb had been placed at the school.
An immediate evacuation of students and staff was carried out, while members of the Armed Forces of Malta were called in to assist with searches of the premises.
The search operation resulted negative, with no explosive device being found.
Within a few hours, police arrested a 15-year-old Italian national who is allegedly linked to the case and is believed to be behind the threat.
Police investigations are still ongoing.
