Footage of Iranian protests re-emerges online as internet in Iran slowly comes back online

Footage of the mass Iranian protests that took place in January in Iran has re-emerged as internet connection is slowly returning to Iran, albeit heavily restricted by the regime. Iranians and the opposition are also returning online, with many of them calling for a continuation of the protests.

Iranians online also argue that the economic state of the country is in disarray, with very high inflation and a widespread scarcity of goods. The Islamic regime has retained control, with terrorist militias patrolling the streets, while executions and jailing have continued.

The Iranian regime massacred tens of thousands of protesters in January, especially in Tehran, which was turned into one large crime scene.

Negotiations between the Iranian regime and the US government have not been concluded, and the US and Iran also exchanged fire earlier this week. The return of internet service in Iran may, however, signal that the regime is not preparing for war.

President Trump is insisting on a return to the previous status quo for the Strait of Hormuz, while the Iranian regime insists on control over the strait. Oil so far has been going down and is below $90 as of writing, although an imminent deal between the US and Iran is not yet expected. Current negotiations are only focusing on the Strait of Hormuz and not on Iranโ€™s nuclear-weapon capabilities.
