Celebrations are ongoing across Malta by the Labour Party after the Nationalist Party Leader Alex Borg has conceded defeat. However, the vote margin between the two major parties is expected to decrease compared to the last general election.
Party leaders have also visited the counting hall in Naxxar and gave comments to the press. The Nationalist Party Leader said that the vote count for the Nationalist Party has increased across most districts.
The Labour Party Leader Robert Abela has thanked all party’s supporters for their trust and support. The Labour Party leader concluded his message of thanks by insisting on “national unity”.
