Trump abandons the Iranian people and praises the Iranian regime: up to 50 dissidents executed since April

The Iranian regime has come out stronger with the deal signed by US President Donald Trump at the Versailles, providing them with a pledged $300 billion reconstruction plan, the lifting of sanctions and the unfreezing of assets. Iran has offered nothing new in exchange of these conditions.

Iran was previously bound by a deal signed with US President Barack Obama not to create a nuclear missiles. US President Trump unilaterally walked out of this deal only to provide the Iranian regime with a replacement deal which is even much more favourable.

Missing in the peace equation are the Iranian people themselves, who in January this year took the streets to topple the regime. Us President Donald Trump even cheered them on and promised to help them. The protests ended with tens of thousands of protestors massacred by the regime forces and many others imprisoned. Throughout the US and Israeli war against Iran, and even after the suspension of hostilities, the Iranian regime kept oppressing its people systematically and executed up to 50 political prisoners.

The Iranian people have now to contend with an oppressive and murderous regime that has been empowered with incredibly advantageous new conditions.

Thank you, Mark. Your insight seems to be very accurate. Trump very rarely, if ever, does the right thing in the long term. He can get it right for a few days, sometimes even a few weeks, but eventually he goes and blows it. Look no further than the Department of Government Efficiency initiative. Made a huge amount of sense. Get government borrowing under control. Reign things in. But then what happens? He blows everything out of the windows. All because he’s a child in a man’s body. Just like Glenn Bedingfield.
