Earlier today the Attorney-General has filed their appeal in Court against the Court’s verdict of Yorgen Fenech freeing him conspiracy to commit murder and collusion with a criminal network.
The appeal is very extensive and includes multiple contestations on points of law include contestations against a series of decision taken by the Judge, and a long list of issues with the jurors and their decision.
The appeal also notes serious irregularities in the trial including potential bribery of witnesses.
Yorgen Fenech admitted to the Police that he approved the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia and paid the hitmen for it.
The appeal demands a retrial.
