“At least I don’t have to look behind my back” – Juror Charlot Cauchi

Another juror who sat on the jury of Yorgen Fenech’s trial is Charlot Cauchi: a gestalt psychotherapist. He opted to sit on the jury despite having the legal right to deny the service so as to attend to his patients: a provision allowed for medical and educational professionals.

Following the jury’s decision, he told his friends, “At least, I don’t have to look behind my back,” in reference to any risk he may have faced by finding Yorgen Fenech guilty.

It is baffling how he said this when he had the right to reject jury duty and could have avoided the risk of having “to look behind his back”.

I simply suspect that this is just a very mediocre and cruel individual, but he also has some interesting Labour acquaintances which I am currently verifying.

Note that Charlot Cauchi is a literate person – he can understand the evidence presented to him especially the evidence in which Yorgen Fenech literally admitted to the Police of approving and paying for the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia.

The irony – one thing we talk a lot about in psychotherapy training is the need to be honest and genuine as people.
