A brief look at Malita Investments
The chart of the stock price of Malita Investments looks like a slow train-wreck in the process. Unsurprisingly, the board has notable supports of the Labour Party including the ex-Chief Risk Officer who approved of a €36 million loan to Steward Health Care Malta. Current works by Malita Investments have been stalled and the Social…

Bank of Valletta remained silent over €36 million “loan” by Steward Health Care
The Labour government and Prime Minister Robert Abela, have been repeating their reductive and banal talking-point in defence of Joseph Muscat’s corruption, that Steward Health Care never stole €400 million. This is a very puerile argument that suupposedly defends the extensive fraud and corruption over the public hospitals concessions. The Labour Party even made use…

A gross and disgusting insult by the Labour government
As soon as we have normal government, Miguel Borg, who was paid €300,000 a year by Bank of Valletta while he gave a fraudulent loan of up to €35 million to the fraudulent Steward Health Care, would be in a position to be investigated on why he lied to the bank’s shareholders, the staff and…

Then why did you fire Miguel Borg?
It’s really about time that Bank of Valletta starts telling the truth to the public and its shareholders instead of playing politics. Bank directors have to take responsibility and act accordingly instead of playing politics with the bank. Bank of Valletta is refusing to list the 36 million loan to Steward Healthcare as an impairment,…

The chief banker who corrupted Bank of Valletta
There is a very good reason why the disgraced Chief Risk Officer of Bank of Valletta, Miguel Borg feels flustered and unjustly targeted over the crony €36 million loan to Steward Healthcare. Having been brought to the bank originally from the central bank, Miguel Borg had no prior banking experience in the private field. However,…

Bank of Valletta announces Miguel Borg’s resignation
Bank of Valletta has finally announced that its Chief Risk Officer, Miguel Borg has resigned. BOV has said that Miguel Borg hasn’t done anything explicitly corrupt or fraudulent but this is beyond the point, and MaltaToday is distorting my reporting by taking on BOV’s narrative. I never said that Miguel Borg was specifically pressured by…

Miguel Borg of Bank of Valletta resigns
The corrupt banker who approved the bizarre loan of €36 million to Stewards, Miguel Borg has resigned. Miguel Borg had also sent his reply to me via his personal lawyers. There is something very obvious which I didn’t make it clear in my reporting on Miguel Borg’s role as Chief Risk Officer at BOV and…

Digging a deeper hole (Miguel Borg Replies)
The corrupt banker at Bank of Valletta, Chief Risk Officer Miguel Borg has sent his reply to my story about him via the bank’s corporate communications desk. However, strangely enough, the reply was signed by the personal lawyer of Miguel Borg and not the bank’s lawyers who are Camilleri Preziosi. Miguel Borg’s lawyer is Stephen…

The corrupt banker at Bank of Valletta
After years of constant mismanagement and capital destruction, Bank of Valletta was turned into a liquidity provider for Joseph Muscat’s fraudulent and corrupt public projects namely for Electrogas and the Vitals and Steward deals. Bank of Valletta loaned €36 million to Steward and backed the government’s guarantee to Electrogas. In order to conduct this kind…
