French President Emmanuel Macron declares that all options are on the table for Ukraine, including boots on the ground

In a historic press conference at the Élysée Palace in Paris, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that Europe has to do whatever is needed for Ukraine to win the war against Russia. Macron also state that all options are on the table including boots on the ground, and Russia’s defeat is necessary for the security of Europe.

This is the first time that French President Emmanuel Macron has made such strong and clear-cut statements on Europe’s and France’s commitment to the war in Ukraine. Macron’s comments come as the US Republican senators delayed US military aid to Ukraine and also just after France signed a defence agreement with Armenia.

This is the first time since the Russian invasion of Ukraine that Europe is finally gaining some strategic leverage back after Russia spent these two years threatening Europe with nuclear war apart from spreading its propaganda and disinformation in Europe and in the US to weaken and destablise Western societies. Much more is needed to catch up with what Europe has lost in terms of strength at the negotiating table, but the first logical step has been taken.
