Adrian Delia: bribed, tried and tested

Earlier this year, Adrian Delia was interrogated by the police following revelations by this website on payments he received by Yorgen Fenech. The payments were meant in exchange for the Nationalist Party to sabotage David Casa’s electoral campaign for the European Parliament. David Casa is an MEP who has been very vociferous against corruption in Malta and has also been a strong advocate for Maltese journalists in the European Parliament.

Today, we also have evidence that under Adrian Delia’s helm, the Nationalist Party was bought into submission by Yorgen Fenech on its fight against corruption. Yorgen Fenech pleaded with Adrian Delia to halt any criticism by PN MPs over 17 Black and the corrupt Electrogas project. He was also very successful in buying out Adrian Delia’s PN silence because in fact, and this can be proven empirically by checking records, statements and newspapers, under Adrian Delia, PN stopped making statements on corruption related to Yorgen Fenech and 17 Black.

Today, Adrian Delia has been rehabilitate by PN Leader Bernard Grech into some sort of anti-corruption crusader. This was a gross error of judgment and also a strategic mistake. Adrian Delia is now allying himself with Alex Borg’s faction in PN in what seems to be a very clear organization that aspires to take over PN and turn it into another image of the Labour Party. Joseph Muscat has made statements in favour of this PN faction. Joseph Muscat couldn’t care less about the Labour Party, ideology and political allegiances because he will support anyone and anything that will help him avoid jail time.
