MCAST lecturers turn out in large numbers to protest the lack of a collective agreement

The Ministry of Education has yet not replied publicly nor privately to the Malta Union of Teachers over their protest at MCAST today over the lack of a collective agreement. The agreement has been pending since 2022 and the MCAST Principal, Stephen Vella has took the bizarre decision to take the issue to an industrial tribunal.

The Malta Union of Teachers is still waiting for negotiations with the Ministry of Education to resume.
