The United Arab Emirates is the largest arms exporter to the Rapid Support Forces

Last week, at the United Nations General Assembly, Sudanese President, General Abdel al-Fattah al-Burhan pressured the United States to demand the United Arab Emirates a complete halt of weapon shipments to the Rapid Support Forces (Janjaweed militias).

The United Arab Emirates has been exporting all kind of weaponry to the RSF including domestically produced weapons, US weapons, and Serbian and Russian munitions and weapons. Weapons from the UAE arrive to Sudan from cargo planes that land in the east of Chad. The RSF are also under various United Nations weapons embargoes.
