During his recent visit to Kyiv, Ukraine, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin delivered a speech at the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy, where he reiterated the military and defensive aid the US has provided to Ukraine. He also praised the European allies for their military and defense provisions to Ukraine.
The Defense Secretary warned that Ukraine should fall to Russia Europe would suffer the consequences.
“Europe’s future is on the line, and America’s security is on the line.” the Defense Secretary said and insisted that Europe’s security should be improved. “If Ukraine falls under Putin’s boot, all of Europe will fall under Putin’s shadow” he continued.
The US Secretary of Defense did not make any remarks about the Ukrainian government’s Victory Plan nor did he announce any changes to Ukraine’s use of long-range weapons on Russian soil. The Ukrainian government plans to acquire nuclear weapons if the Allies don’t provide it with NATO membership and security guarantees.
Ukraine risks losing all of the military aid provided to it by the United States if Republican nominee, Donald Trump wins the US Presidency in the coming weeks.
