There’s an interesting story about Joseph Muscat’s latest propaganda campaign on Smash TV that has been referenced by the Times of Malta. With his back against the wall in Court, facing a possible lifetime in jail with multiple charges of fraud, corruption and money-laundering, Joseph Muscat’s megalomania is rising. Joseph Muscat is is renewing his search for an entry point in politics as his clique of helpers ramp up their political campaigning, which in essence, is mostly a campaign for his rehabilitation. He is delusional enough to believe that he can achieve this entry point in politics especially in the case the Labour Party loses the elections.
The Labour Party leader and Prime Minister, Robert Abela, appeased Joseph Muscat by appointing Jason Micallef as “special delegate for the Party’s Manifesto”. It’s a made-up role that has no significance whatsoever. There are actual political appointees in the government with this role who follow the government’s work and ensure that the government’s policies are implemented. Supposedly, Jason Micallef is coordinating this work. Some Labour Party supporters are elated by Jason Micallef’ comeback. Many others can see through the theatre and don’t take him seriously.
Jason Micallef has already been rebuked and ridiculed by both the Labour Party’s top brass and government executives after he pretended (and still expects) to boss around government executives and Director-Generals who have the executive power to implement measures and policies. Basically, Jason Micallef has no power whatsoever his fake role is doing him more harm than good as it exposes his futility and uselessness.
Jason Micallef is not happy about this and he is now voicing concerns that the doesn’t have the authority to enforce government directors to implement the Party’s manifesto. Joseph Muscat is backing him up on his newly-found propaganda platform on Smash by insisting with the Labour Party to implement its manifesto. At this stage, they are like a group of children thinking they are allowed to sit at the adults’ table.
