Lawyers for Nadine Lia’s father, Victor Sant, file a case in court against the Police Commissioner over his failure to arraign Alessandro Lia on fraud charges

Lawyers Franco Debono and Edward Gatt appeared in court last Thursday to challenge the Police Commissioner in a case they filed on behalf of Nadine Lia’s father, Victor Sant. The case addresses the Police Commissioner’s failure to arraign Alessandro Lia on fraud charges, which the lawyers insist should be pursued

Criminal charges were originally filed by Victor Sant after he accused Alessandro Lia of a scheme where he falsified documents to profit from Victor Sant’s car that was meant to be scrapped.

Alessandro Lia is the ex-husband of Magistrate Nadine Lia and the son of Pawlu Lia, one of Joseph Muscat’s lawyers.

The case continues next Tuesday.
