Ex-General Keith Kellogg to be appointed as Special Envoy for Russia and Ukraine by President-elect Donald Trump

Previous National Security Advisor to Vice-President Mike Pence, and ex-General Keith Kellogg will be appointed Special Envoy for Russia and Ukraine by President-elect Donald Trump once he takes office. General Keith Kellogg is a hardliner who repeatedly stated his position in favour of giving Ukraine the weapons it needs to defeat Russia on the battlefield. General Kellogg is also strongly in favour of Ukraine winning the war against Russia.

President Trump promised to end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours after being elected President but a quick diplomatic resolution to the war in Ukraine is impossible with no side wanting to back down. Russia has just issued a statement stating that it will not accept freezing the war and Ukraine won’t accept surrendering any territory to Russia in exchange for peace.ย  President Trump plans to stop the war in Ukraine by threatening Ukraine with withdrawing its military aid, while simultaneously threatening Russia by increasing military aid to Ukraine.

Russia and Ukraine are bogged down in a stalemate with no side making any significant or strategic gains, however there are signs right now that Russia’s economy is in crisis as the Russian Ruble is crashing against the US Dollar and the Euro. Donald Trump campaigned for the US Presidency on the pledge to cut off aid to Ukraine.
