Zelensky floats peace proposal: Putin says “Trump is not safe now”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed a peace plan at the end of the week, stating to the press that he is willing to sign a temporary peace deal with Russia in exchange for Ukraine obtaining NATO membership. In an interview with SKY News, President Zelensky said that this deal would entail Russia holding on to Ukrainian territory it has conquered including Crimea.

Other press reports cite that the proposal is also backed by President-elect Donald Trump’s Special Envoy for Russia and Ukraine Keith Kellogg.

Earlier during the week, Russian President Vladimir Putin gave a press conference in Moscow where he commented on the attempts on President Trump’s life and said: “Trump is not even safe now, but I hope he is a smart and cautious person.”
