Karl Schembri who is a Communications Advisor with the Norwegian Refugee Council has just been to Chad visiting Sudanese refugees and overseeing humanitarian work by the NRC. He also visited Geniena in Darfur which is currently under the control of the Rapid Support Forces. The Sudanese Armed Forces is currently conducting an offensive to to recapture the country from the genocidal terrorists, the RSF.
Karl Schembri described the humanitarian situation as catastrophic and stated that basic supplies and aid are badly needed for most refugees. He says that residents in Darfur fear leaving their homes, and many have fled into neghbouring Chad where they lack basic resources. Karl Schembri argues that Chad is welcoming refugees from neighboring Sudan despite already being severely strained by a lack of resources.
Editor’s note: The war in Sudan has been trivialised by the mainstream media as a senseless conflict between two opposing parties. However, the conflict has been driven by a foreign-funded terrorist group, the Rapid Support Forces (Janjaweed militias), which has committed some of the worst recorded war crimes in Africa over the past twenty years.
