Kurdish armed forces commander says fall of the regime is an opportunity to build “a new Syria based on democracy and justice that guarantees the rights of all Syrians”

The commander of the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces Mazloum Abdi released a brief statement saying that the fall of the of the regime in Damascus is an opportunity to build a new Syria based on democracy and justice that guarantees the rights of all Syrians.

The statement may imply that the Kurds will not be fighting for a separate state which Turkey is adamantly against.

Kurdish forces have been clashing with the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army in Manbij.
