Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar gave a press conference condemning the attacks by the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army on Kurdish forces that currently control Manbij, an Arab majority-city in the north-west of Syria. The Turkish air force has also been bombing Kurdish military installations in the past few weeks as it has done regularly through the past few years.
Earlier today, Israel continued its air-offensive against Syria destroying all heavy-military equipment which was left by Russian and Assad’s forces. The Israelis also continued extending their perimeter outside the Mount Hermon area. Arab states including Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Egypt have condemned Israel’s invasion of Syria, but Syrian rebel commander Mohammad Jolani has not commented, yet.
There are three major foreign-power brokers in Syria right now and these are Turkey that are backing the Syrian rebels and Israel which is backing the Kurds. The United States also has a small presence in the north of Syria which is aimed at supporting the Kurds are protecting critical oil fields in the region. Russian bases in Latakia and Tartus are still operating but most of the personnel has left.
