Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan is offering to mediate between peace talks between the incumbent Sudanese government lead by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the United Arab Emirates. President Erdogan’s offer, made in a phone call to the Sudanese General Fattah al-Burhan, is an implicit acknowledgement that the United Arab Emirates are supporting the genocidal and terrorist Rapid Support Forces in Sudan.
President Erdogan has just recently mediated an agreement in Turkey’s capital, Ankara, between Ethiopia and Somalia to respect each other’s sovereignty amid tensions over the disputed breakaway region of Somaliland, which Ethiopia has recognised in exchange for access to a seaport
The UAE denies it is supporting the RSF, but as of recently, regular flights from the UAE to Amdjarass Airport in the Ennedi-Est of Chad has supplied the RSF with multiple weapons. Yesterday, a large drone supplied by the UAE to the RSF hit a hospital in Al-Fashir and killed eight patients. The RSF have been escalating their crimes and massacres against civilians as the Sudanese Army keeps driving them out of several areas. Strikes against civilians by the RSF have also taken place in North Darfur.
Meanwhile more Sudanese are celebrating further advances by the Sudanese military against the RSF, this time in towns and villages outside Omdurman.
