Press reports are stating that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not attend the 80th year anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz in Poland on the 27th January of next year. It has been reported that the Polish government informed the Israeli Prime Minister that it would execute the ICC warrants against him if was to step on Polish soil.
Earlier this year, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his previous Defense Minister were issued an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court for war crimes in Gaza including deliberately killing civilians and systematically depriving the Palestinian population of Gaza from food and water. Several EU countries, including France and Germany, have refused to commit themselves to apply the arrest warrants, but surprisingly, Poland has a different position.
The ICC also has an arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin for kidnapping and abducting Ukrainian children and taking them to Russia.
Israel is currently conducting an ethnic cleansing campaign in the north of Gaza to permanently occupy the area as it forcefully displaces the residents. Those who remain behind are getting deliberately bombed and targeted. A humanitarian crisis in Gaza is also ongoing with a serious lack of food and clean water.
