Jason Azzopardi’s Police protection removed as the government describes him as an “extremist”

Jason Azzopardi’s Police protection has been removed after having been granted to him 4 months ago. The decision can only be made final by the Police Commissioner himself, who has made no secret about his disliking of Jason Azzopardi multiple times, including in a radio interview.

Jason Azzopardi, a previous government Minister and Opposition MP, has single-handedly become the equivalent of the political Opposition to the government with the government even rushing a legislation in Parliament to stop him from submitting further Magisterial Inquiries. He has also been involved in the requests of most Magisterial Inquiries including the one about the Vitals fraud and the one that PN had originally filed about 17 Black.

The Police Commissioner is revoking Jason Azzopardi’s police protection just as the government publicly condemns him as an “extremist.” Commissioner Gafa once again proves to be nothing more than a blatant tool of the government, now even playing politics with police protection and the security of our citizens.

I’ve never heard the Police Commissioner speaking ill of criminals, but he has no qualms in making sure to show his disliking of his critics. I don’t expect him to offer them protection as much as I don’t expect him to investigate corrupt politicians unless he is compelled to by a Magisterial Inquiry.

I’m more than happy to offer my help in protecting Jason Azzopardi, if he would like it. And if anyone wants to harm a single hair on his head (if they are lucky enough to find one) I’ll happily deal with them. I hate bullies. I have all the time in the world for people who are brave enough to stand up to those who oppose them. I proudly stand up for Jason Azzopardi. It isn’t difficult. All you need are balls.
