The Nationalist Party is continuing with its campaign of supporting bizarre companies having recently visited the factory of General Soft Drinks which produces Coca-Cola, and is owned by Maurice Mizzi, his family and associates.
The issue with this company that no ones likes talking about is that it extracts half of its water for free from the public water table and buys the rest from Water Services at a heavily discounted price. The company claims to be employing 350 personnel but this is coming at a public cost and also at a cost to the environment. They made a €3.6 million profit in 2022 and €4.1 million in 2023.
Anyone can easily make money if one simply extracts water for free from the ground and sells it. There’s no “modernity” and “innovation” in this.
