Russian daily assaults in Ukraine fall below 100 and their average

The daily assaults by the Russian Army in Ukraine have fallen below 100, well below their average. Russia is escalating its aerial attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure to make up for its decreasing number of ground attacks, but even these aerial attacks are coming with less intensity.

Ukrainain drone attacks on Russian oil installations have increased during this year with various refineries and oil depots hit. As of this week, an oil refinery owned by Lukoil was hit in Volgograd, making it the third successful drone against a Russian oil refinery this week. Military observers also state that the ongoing disruption of the Russian oil industry by Ukrainian attacks have helped reduce the daily Russian ground attacks in Ukraine.

Russia is also facing serious challenges in its mobilisation campaign while the Russian economy records full employment and the shortage of labour keeps growing. To offset labour shortages, the Russians are now running cheap labour programmes for African women to build military drones.

Up to 100,000 Ukrainian civilians have been killed by the Russian army since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in January 2022.
