The Ukrainian War Crimes Prosecutor Yuriy Belousov has confirmed with the Independent UK, that Ukrainian civilian deaths resulting from Russia’s invasion have reached as high as 100,000 casualties. The figure can be even higher when all the deaths in Mariupol are included. The Russians destroyed the city of Mariupol, killed tens of thousands of its citizens and buried many in mass graves as they captured the city.
The United Nations provides a much lower figure for Ukrainian civilian casualties but the UK government admits that this figure is too low. US military sources also consider the UN figure as too low.
Russia also conducts daily missile and rockets attacks on Ukrainian civilians and civilian infrastructure. Many of these missiles have been produced in Iran and North Korea but Western components have also been used in Russian produced-missiles.
