Early this morning, Hamas announced it will be releasing more hostages on Saturday following the resumption of the ceasefire agreement. Talks continued to take place in Qatar where Hamas representatives said that Israel will address their concerns and that they don’t want to jeapordise the agreement. A convoy of aid-trucks was also allowed to pass through the Rafah crossing after the announcement was made.
Hamas had suspended the agreement earlier this week following President Trump’s statements about displacing Palestinians from Gaza.
Meanwhile, the European Parliament President Roberta Metsola has travelled to Israel where she met Foreign Affairs Minister Gideon Sa’ar and Speaker of the Knesset Amir Ohana. The Eurpean Parliament President stated that the immediate priorities for the European Parliament are that the hostages are released, the ceasefire holds and humanitarian aid increases.
