Russians cheer President Trump and Vance’s takedown of President Zelensky: Marco Rubio asks for an apology

Russian officials and the Russian press are celebrating Trump and JD Vance’s public belittling of President Zelensky at the Oval Office. Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry Spokesperson said on Telegram that President Zelensky is lying about being left alone in 2022 and that his mind is clouded with drugs. Deputy Chairman of the Security Council and previous President and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev also showed his satisfaction and described President Zelensky as an “insolent pig”.

The Russian government-funded press is propagating the notion that President Zelensky is unnecessarily extending the war in Ukraine and provoking World War 3. This is also the same talking point currently being used by the Russian-asset and US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. A TASS employee was also present at yesterday’s press conference in the Oval Office marking the first time in years that an employee of a Russia media outlet was present at the White House.

Meanwhile, President Zelensky retweeted the multiple messages of support that he received from European leaders whilst thanking them for their support.

US Secretary of state Marco Rubio wants President Zelensky to apologise for yesterday’s incident at the Oval Office, while President Zelensky said he does not feel the need to apologise and it is better if they hold honest discussions.
